Tiger Woods Accident

This may be familiar to you.

There are three sides to every story. Your side. My side and the truth. I first heard these words from a man that I admired and had a great influence in my life. Pastor Robert Armstrong. He was pastor of Warrendale Community Church and a life long student of the bible.

To find the truth and than to live the truth are two very difficult things to achieve in anyone’s life. God has a lot to say about truth, and although this is not going to be a story about God or the bible, you can’t really get to far away from the author and embodiment of truth.

This is about Tiger Woods. I know that so much has been written about the whole story of the accident and the infidelity, but I wanted to put my two cents in.

It seems like where ever I go and whatever I see, I am hard pressed to find the truth spoken anywhere these days. People just can’t tell the truth. Be honest with yourself and tell me if you can find truth spoken anywhere, and especially…… in your own heart.

My life used to always be about lies. I Never gave it a second thought to tell a lie. Now I am much better at it today, but what is it about telling the truth that we struggle so much with?

The definition from the dictionary for the word “hypocrite”, is a person who pretends to have virtues and principles, that he doesn’t actually posses. It comes from a Greek word that means, ” a stage actor, one speaking from under a mask.” Now I know your thinking of a couple of people who you would like to apply this to, but first I want you to take a long hard look at the person in the mirror.

Now I don’t mean to put anymore guilt on Tiger Woods then already is there, but I would like to look at his incident to explain what I just described. Tiger Woods children, wife, and Tiger Wood, needs our prayers and support. Anyone of us, given those circumstances, could have been in the same situation.

Tiger Woods family background is solid. His parents gave him a strong moral foundation, and built his character to be the individual that we all knew him to be. More than just the best golfer and sports figure of our time, but the character and quality of a good solid human being. Any women would have loved to be his catch, and there were plenty swimming around his cage.

A handsome guy. A guy of solid morals and quality character. All of Tiger Woods endorsements, all of Tiger Woods wins, and all of Tiger Woods net worth, put him on a shelf above all of us. The crown jewel of what every parent wants for their daughter. Just think of what it would be like! But with all this comes the recipe for the perfect storm that not to many people have been able to withstand.

All of his family background, training and good moral character would be put through the test, as it is with all of us. All of us have been through the same thing. The spotlight and fame might not be there, but we have all gone through what Tiger Woods has gone through to some degree or another. Before you get ready to ridicule him, how did you make it through your crisis? Maybe you were able to hide it from everyone’s eyes, and swept it away before anyone could see.

I know that I failed my test. I won’t go into all the details, but I failed and I hurt a lot of people and many lives were changed forever, because of what I did. In my case, only the people involved will know what I’m talking about, but in Tiger Woods case, the whole world is watching. There is no hiding place for him.

When this all came to my attention, I was totally shocked like everyone else was. I just could not believe Tiger Woods could do this. Anybody else, but not Tiger Woods. He was the last person on my list for this kind of action.

Tiger was doing his best to hide and run from the truth. He wanted to protect that image he always portrayed. You know the one who pretends to have virtues and principles that they don’t really possess. Or does he?

I do thing that Tiger Woods has those qualities deep down inside. You could always hear it when ever he talked. You can’t fake those kind of things. Yes he did make some wrong decisions. As we all do will we are growing up. I do think that he is coming back to the truth. I pray that it is not to late for Tiger Woods wife and him to make things right. She is growing also and I hope that together they will learn from all this and walk with the truth by their side.

Understanding Basic Child Custody Laws: Discover What are the Rights of Children, Fathers and Mothers

Divorce can be an ugly and bitter thing, and even more so if you have children. All we can say is thank goodness you can look at each child custody law and know that they have the children’ best interest in mind. After all, those who are under the age of 18 need proper guidance and help making various decisions in their life.

However, child custody, visitation rights, parenting schedules or whatever you want to call it can have a major impact both mentally and physically. So when you want to cut out the other parent from our child’s life, just remember that the child custody laws are in place to make sure the kids come out on top.

The most common issues that arise in a child custody case are where the child or children will live after a divorce, separation, or other instances where children are involved. There is a best interests child standard in the United States which is used to help determine which parent will care for the child or children. This comes into play in some states if there is any question that a parent won’t act in the best interest of their children.

Child custody laws seek to keep certain things from happening; however, if a divorce is bitter it can be difficult to protect the children. Many parents will tell the children things about a parent that is designed to turn a child against that parent.

You may also hear stories about allegations that are made up about one parent being abusive or playing games in order to disrupt the visitation. In extreme cases some parents will remove their children from the state just so they cannot see the non-residential parent. All of these scenarios are why child custody laws are in place.

Over the years the courts have recognized how younger and older children relate to divorce while living without both parents. Younger children seem to relate better when they have shorter meeting times, but over more frequency.

Children who are older seem to handle longer periods of time away from the residential parent, but with limited exchanges. It’s something research has found over the years and while it is a standard, don’t expect it to become a child custody law.

Basically the laws state that each parent will have equal rights and guardianship of the children if they were born to them during the marriage. Whichever court is in the jurisdiction will have the task of deciding how the child’s custody arrangement will work.

Whoever gets custody will end up making the decisions on education, health care and religious affiliation. There are some instances when temporary custody is needed if the parents are in a legal separation.

Usually one parent ends up with exclusive custody. If by chance the ruling is joint custody, both parents are relied upon to perform their duties as parents almost as if they were still married. However, when you look at each child custody law, there are occasions where a grandparent or close relative can seek custody. In the end though, it all comes back to what is best for the children.

Child Custody Rights Versus Your Rights As A Parent

Divorced parents often lose sight of the very fact that child custody rights were put into place in order to safeguard the rights of the children. They protect the best interests of the child, not the parents and step-parents or any other relatives members. During a divorce involving children the courts are required to consider the children first and make decisions based on their needs. And usually this is all well and good, both parents accept those choices and life goes on. Until, that is, the custodial parent wants to make a move out of state and take the child with them. That’s when most individuals forget the main reason those child custody rights were established.

Blended families are not uncommon anymore. Most people know at least one family that falls into the Yours-Mine-And-Ours category. And child custody rights are at the root of a lot of problems with this increase in the number of blended families. Particularly when it involves moving.

As an example, consider the case of a family from Ohio. The parents of an 8 year old girl had divorced, the mother had custody, and she remarried a man who had two children. Everything was going along fine till the new husband received word that he was being promoted to a high level position but would need to transfer to California. When the mother notified the small girl’s father that this move was about to take place, he immediately consulted his attorney and the case went to court.

This is often where folks forget that child custody rights have been put into place to protect the best interests of the child. When the girl’s natural father argued that he had every right to see his daughter on a regular and frequent basis and could not afford to travel back and forth to California every weekend the step-father argued back that he had every right to move his family to a different state espcecially because it was for a higher paying job.
In this case each person has rights and these rights overlap. It’s the court’s duty to weigh each of these rights and determine what’s best for the child, and only the child. Yes, it can be argued that the step-father would be able to provide a better standard of living and yes the natural father has the right to be able to see his daughter whenever he wants to. However what is the best interest of the child?

In this case the court looked at things like uprooting the child from her school and friends, pulling her out of activities like soccer and scouting, and taking her far from her father, and determined that to serve the child’s best interests she ought to remain in Ohio. And it’s not a case of whether the step father or the natural father won or lost their argument. Child custody rights are there to serve the best interest of the child.

The Difference Between Your Child Custody Agreement And Your Divorce Decree

Too many folks forget about the child custody agreement when they sign those final divorce papers. They’re simply so glad they’ll finally put the past behind them, get on with their future, and that everything is finally over. No more lawyers and courtrooms. No more arguing over who gets the car and who gets the house. It’s done. Let’s move on. Throughout all of that arguing and scheming they clearly had to come to some kind of agreement over what was going to happen with the kids, too. But many people are not prepared to deal with what comes after the divorce. You may have finally put an end to the marriage, however the child custody agreement is just beginning.

Every state has different laws concerning divorce and child custody agreements however normally decisions have to be made relating to where the kids will live, who will be the primary caregiver, what school will they attend, how frequently and for how long can they visit the non-custodial parent, where will they spend holidays, etc. All of those details are discussed before the divorce and generally this will be the most troublesome part of the process. Generally parents will unwittingly use their kids as pawns during the divorce proceedings and sometimes they do it intentionally. However regardless of the parents’ intentions before the divorce is final, the fact of the matter is that now that child custody agreement is a legal and binding document and must be followed.

After months, and sometimes years, of bitter divorce proceedings parents usually forget that they’re still going to have to speak about the children. They’re going to most likely still see each other on the weekends as the kids travel back and forth. And they’re going to each want to be involved in all those vital decisions that need to be made in a child’s life – how and when to discipline, what college should they go to, who’s going to pay for it, who’s going to take them to soccer practice. The parents might have ended the marriage however the day to day decisions on behalf of the kids still need to be made. And that means that the parents have to be able to communicate amicably, no matter how bitter the divorce was.

The reason there are 2 agreements – the divorce agreement and the child custody agreement – is to keep them separated. If you need to argue about who gets the dog that’s one thing, however you need to be ready to make decisions about your children together. Your children are counting on it. The big decisions, like where your children are going to live, have already been made. It’s the routine decisions that a lot of parents are not ready to handle as a team after the divorce becomes final. When the final papers are signed it becomes even more vital that you and your ex be ready to speak like mature adults and put the welfare of your kids first. Signing that child custody agreement may feel like you’re dropping some of your parental rights but you still have parental obligations.

This is often where individuals forget that child custody rights are put into place to guard the best interests of the child. When the girl’s natural father argued that he had every right to see his daughter on a regular and frequent basis and could not afford to travel back and forth to California every weekend the step-father argued back that he had every right to move his family to a different state espcecially because it was for a higher paying job.

In this case the court looked at things like uprooting the child from her school and friends, pulling her out of activities like soccer and scouting, and taking her far from her father, and determined that to serve the child’s best interests she should stay in Ohio. And it’s not a case of whether the step father or the natural father won or lost their argument. Child custody rights are there to serve the best interest of the child.

What Are The Ill Effects Of Divorce On Children?

Before we discuss the effects of divorce on children it may help to look at a few statistics. 50% of all marriages within the United States end in divorce and sixty-seven percent of all second marriages end in divorce. These may appear like alarming statistics but in fact, the divorce rate is really dropping. Opinions vary as to the reason why however most think that it’s either due to the expenses connected to divorce – the divorce itself and then the fact that 2 households must now be supported instead of 1, and the fact that it’s not considered a crime to be single. More folks are waiting till their 30s to marry which puts them past the age where divorce is most prevalent.

But, it’s also a reality that 50 percent of kids in America are children of divorced parents. Years ago, when divorce was still not talked about, these kids were pitied and it had been assumed that their futures would be ruined as a result of of the ill effects of divorce on children. But is that really what’s happened? Now that divorce has come out into the open, are we really finding that it has a negative effect on our children?

Within the last few years research has been conducted that shows that these reports of negative effects have been greatly exaggerated. In the past it had been stated that children of divorce suffered problems with depression and that they had behavioral issues in school and that their social skills suffered. And it had been believed that these issues all stemmed from the divorce itself and that they’d be carried on into the child’s adult life causing them to have difficult marriages as well.

However those same studies also indicate that, because of the conflict that was going on between the parents before the divorce, the children were already having problems before the divorce even occurred. But because divorce simply wasn’t talked about it was assumed that it had been the root of all of the problems.

These studies have shown though that the effects of divorce on children can be measured primarily based on 3 things – the quality of the relationship with both of the parents before the divorce, the duration and intensity of the conflict between the parents, and the ability of the parents to focus on the child’s needs throughout and after the divorce.
It was also noted in these studies that the most important contributing factor when a child does experience problems connected to divorce was the withdrawal of the father. And it was found that father who left the house and withdrew from their relationship with their child usually did so because of conflicts with the mother. Therefore you can see that in order to reduce the ill effects of divorce on children it’s imperative that each parent keep the best interests of the child in mind at all times.

Are You Prepared for Your Child Custody Hearing?

The court plays an important role in determining what is in the ‘best interests’ of your child. The court considers all aspects as well as physical, instructional, non secular, emotional also preferential needs of a child, thus it makes a study of homes of both parents, along with location, neighborhoods and facilities, before making a decision on custody.

Though the courts have the simplest interests in mind, there couldn’t be anyone more important in making the most effective decision for his or her children than parents. Folks ought to attempt and settle their Child Custody problems outside the courts. A custody decision arrived on your own with 2 agreeing parents is more desirable than the one that is disputed and determined by the court.

Preparing for the Child Custody trial, you must possess documents and data related to your children, which can help confirm the best interests of your child. It’s better if you maintained a record of your child’s life concerning events that have an effect on them, like visiting with the opposite parent, grandparents, doctor’s appointment, school activities, family and religious activities, medical appointments and counseling dates, etc. You ought to support your position, by keeping notes.

1) Parent’s Home: This factors determines whether you’ll be able to give good surroundings and adequate shelter for your children, the dimensions of the house, neighborhood, availability of support and babysitters, hospitals, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc. play a vital role in determining the best care for the child. Though not an important purpose, it will build a good impression.

2) New Relationships: This can be a comparatively irrelevant issue in determining Child Custody cases, the court will think about this issue unless the relationship makes an impact on the child’s well being. If the new relationship will not play any part in the relationship to the child, then this point can not be relevant to determination of Child custody.

3) Status Quo: It is an important factor in determining custody case, if a child’s parents reside in different districts, it in unlikely that the court will order to alter the residence during the academic year, especially if the kid is being properly brought up. If you want a amendment in status quo, you may be required to furnish a good reason for this. A good example would be a difficulty with the current conditions, unsafe for the child.

4) Kid’s Preference: Children’s preference isn’t considered by the court since the court can not provide a child the authority to make a decision for himself, but this would possibly not be the case if the child happens to be a teenager and possess enough mental capacity to evaluate his or her position.

5) Parent’s Availability: Full time parenting has an advantage over working full time for supporting oneself. However, the court may not defer from providing you with the custody only as a result of you wish to labor to support yourself and your child.

These are just a few things to think about when getting ready for your Child Custody case.

An Introduction To Astronomy

Despite the fact that astronomy is the oldest science, it is still at the forefront of not only scientific thought, but also that of the public at large. Who hasn’t gazed up at the stars while walking home late at night and wondered about something larger? Having said that though, the ancient people of definitely the northern hemisphere, but probably both hemispheres, knew the movements of the stars and planets better than the majority of us do today.

They knew even then, thousands of years ago, that the majority of stars seem to appear in the Eastern skies at night and travel on circular paths. They also noticed that some ’stars’ were ‘wanderers’ (we call them planets) and that sometimes they went ‘against the flow’.

They also named groups of stars that we now call constellations or even galaxies and knew that those visible in the winter were different from those visible in the summer.and that others were visible all year round. The average common man of 5,000 – 10,000 years ago almost certainly knew more about the movement of the celestial bodies than the average common man of today does. (I mean men and women here, of course).

They learned how to calculate or at least locate the extremities of the sunrise and went to extraordinary lengths to mark those positions with huge stone structures, such as Stonehenge in the United Kingdom, probably to facilitate the location of certain positions of the sun or other planets or stars, which may have been important to their religious beliefs or crop cycles.

In 1609, Galileo invented the first artificial device for studying the stars and planets. It was the first astronomical telescope and through it he was able to see objects millions of miles away that no one had ever seen before. Because of the deductions he drew from his observations, he clashed with the Roman Catholic Church and was often in serious danger for his life, so radical were his discoveries.

But mankind was not intimidated, and since then we have gone on to build ever bigger and ever better telescopes with which we can even detect radio waves, microwaves, X-rays, infrared waves and gamma waves from outer space. Forty years ago, we even travelled to our Moon. and we have sent probes to eight of the nine planets in our Solar System, as well as to several comets and asteroids.

Where will we go next? That decision was always up to the government of the United States and the old USSR, but now there are other contestants in the field. What will China or India want to explore with their possibly slightly different outlook on life? Or will it be just a question of financial benefit?

The world may be in a state of change and power may be moving from its traditional seats, but it has not diminished interest in questions that scientists think can only be answered in space. These are exciting times in the science of astronomy, but then man has always found astronomy enthralling .

Because different states have several different criteria for home schooling courses, there are times when you will have to supply documentation as the parents of home schooling children. The records will include parental notification to the state about your child’s studying as a home school student.

For the states where the home schooling rules are very stringent, the state requires more than a nonchalant registration from the parents. Among the documents that you may have to produce are accomplishment test scores, a home school syllabus approved by the state and a specialist evaluation of your child’s educational progress.

You will also need teaching qualifications for you and your spouse, if you are both to be the teachers of your children, while they are occupied in home schooling. Some states may demand that state officials visit your home to check whether the children are indeed in receipt of an adequate high school education from you. These are just a few of the diverse documents and pertinent facts that you will need to be aware of concerning your state’s home schooling laws.

Razor Scooters

The Razor A scooter … What does that phrase conjure up in your mind? If you have children, I’m certain that you’ve heard of the Razor A scooter series, but they weren’t around when we were kids. However, the idea was, even though I forget the brand names from my youth.

I loved my two-wheeled, kick-powered scooter when I was young. Mum and Dad had their automobile, my older siblings had their bicycles and I had my scooter. It didn’t go fast, but then, I didn’t go far either, but it was transport and it gave a feeling of freedom. I had my wheels and I was on the move!

Well, the modern equivalent of that scooter is the Razor A scooter series. And they really are modern too! They are a far cry from the plain scooters of yesteryear. The Razor A scooter series was brought out in the year 2000 and is tough, log-lasting, collapsible and as safe as you can get.

The Razor A scooter series comes in several forms to suit different age groups, abilities and pockets. For example, the Razor A scooter is meant for children of six years and older, while the Razor A2 scooter, the Razor A3 scooter and the Razor Pro scooter are intended for older, heavier, more demanding and more skilful riders. With prices starting at about $25 none of them is over-priced.

The Razor A scooter series is made from aircraft-grade light aluminium and weighs in at only six pounds. That’s light enough for any small child to be able to carry, if necessary, without risk of injury. It is also collapsible, which means that it is easy to carry under your arm, in the trunk of your car or on the bus. Storage is a doddle too.

The Razor A scooter range is height-adjustable too in that the handlebars can be elevated as your child grows up or if an older sibling wants a go. It also has a formidable brake, which is naturally very important since these scooters will easily reach speeds of five or six mph on the flat and much more on a slope. Going down hill, that is.

The Razor A scooter series also has lesser and greater stable companions. The Razor Kiddie Kick is intended for children younger than six and has a third wheel for greater stability, although it is just as strong and durable as the Razor A scooter series. The Razor A scooter series is intended for ‘young-minded’ people from the age of six. I use the words ‘young-minded’ because it is quite the fashion now, to keep one in the car and scooter the last mile or two into the office or college. That mile or two every day will save you fuel and give you more exercise over a long period of time. After all, it all adds up, doesn’t it?

Then, for those who require a bit more, there are the Razor E100(S), Razor E200(S) and the Razor E300(S), which are electrically powered scooters. The (S) means that they have a seat fitted.

So, why not introduce your kid to the idea of travel with a Razor A scooter? Give your child the chance to look back on his or her youth in 20-30 years time and remember rushing about at three-five mph on a Razor A scooter.

Do you have great memories of your chilhood scooter? The Razor A scooter is the modern equivilent. Come over to our site at http://razorascooter.com and find out more.
